My 11 year old son has yellow teeth, is teeth bleaching available at that age or are there other options?

Q.
I have a 11 year old son, his teeth are yellow, He is wanting to bleach his teeth, is this safe for his teeth? If so how offten ?
A.
I normally don’t bleach childrens teeth until they are 16 years of age. His teeth may be discloured because they need a professional clean with a hygienist.
