I’ve got gaps, missing teeth and damage from gum disease, are veneers a good option?

Q.
I have some black gaps either side if my upper 4’s. I have no 3’s as they erupted late and were removed. Thre is some recession buccally too so the tooth looks like a 3 which is fine but i hate the black spaces which is a result of past perio disease from when i smoked. I have good oral health now and I have heard about guided tissue regeneration. The papillae is still present but has lost the knife edge shape. Can a specialist in this field help or do i have to opt for a bulky vaneer?
A.
To rebuild papillae can be difficult if not impossible – especially following bone loss from periodontal disease. Your only option may be veneers to close up the space – mini-veneers are being done that just fit between the teeth but these are very difficult to do due to these veneers being very thin and small slivers of porcelain – also the longevity of these have not been determined

Hi, I am a 50 year old man and have most of my top front teeth missing, They were accidentally knocked out some years ago. Since then I have wanted to get them fixed but he cost has always been beyond me. I cannot put dentures in as they make me feel sick as soon as I put them in. I was wondering if there were any instances of NHS funding in extreme cases. The lack of teeth affects my self confidence, so I would be grateful for any advice you can give.
