Q. hi i hope you can help, I have a bridge on my 3 front teeth,26 yrs old. one tooth has already had a root filling which was done 25 yrs ago , today my dentist had told me the other tooth needs a root filling done, its very painfull & sensitive. my concern is, is this the right treatment given how old the bridge is. i also have osteoporosis and am having intravenus treatment once a year for this, is it safe to have a root filling done. thankyou
A. Unfortunately it is impossible for me to say if a root canal is an appropriate treatment option, without carrying out an examination. Osteoporois is not a contra indication for root canal treatment.
