is there anything that can be done for receading gums?
Q. Is there anything that can be done for receading gums i am worried about loosing my teeth and want to do what ever i can to prevent this. also because my gums are receading is it safe to have my teeth whitened?
A. 1. the gums will not grow back so it is important to avoid further recession with correct oral hygiene and regular visits with your Hygienist
2. Selected areas can be built up with gingival grafts in some cases
3. tooth whitening may make the teeth more sensitive for a while and the dark neck at the top/bottom of the teeth won’t change colour as this is dentine not enamel
