Is there anything I can do myself to repair my receding gums?
Q. The gum at the base of one of my teeth is receeding rapidly. I’ve been to the dentists recently and was hoping not to return for a while, is there something I can do myself to repair or halt the problem?,
A. Of course it is important to have good oral hygiene and see the hygienist every 3 to 6 months. If it receeding rapidly then this is concerning as you could loose the tooth. I would see your dentist or seek a second opinion.
