Is there any way to save my veneers, even though my teeth are decayed?

Q.
I have two veneers on front and side tooth and have a cavity behind the side tooth that is excruciating. The dentist said they think it is too far gone to save and want to remove both veneers and possibly do a bridge since the tooth is so decayed. What will they put in place until the bridge is ready and is it necessary to remove both veneers and how do they remove the veneers? They also mention doing root canals on the one tooth but aren’t sure until they remove the veneers. Can’t they put veneers back on somehow? thank you for your time Doctor Moore, I hope to hear from you soon

Hello and thank you for your question Normally veneers have to be drilling off damaging them in the process, they wouldn’t fit back on anyway if the tooth is decayed- you’d still have a cavity under the veneer. I guess they will put in a temporary bridge but its hard for me to say without seeing you.
