Is There Any Way That My Fillings Can Be Replaced Without Harming Any Of The Tooth Structure?

Q.
Hi Mark, I wondered if you could advise me with an issue? In my front two teeth I had root canal treatment and there are two white fillings. The problem is that one of the teeth has a large white filling and I want to change both. However, I don’t want to lose even a little of the structure of the teeth. Is there a technology that has the ability to remove the filling only? or is there a dentist who can do that slowly without removing even a little of the structure. I really care about the structure of the teeth. I already have quite sensitive teeth and I don’t want them turning worse because of this. Thanks for your time.

Hi, thank you for yuor question. There is bound to be a little bit of tooth that is removed whilst taking out the old filling and most dentists should be very careful when doing so. For the best results aesthetically it’s probably best that you seek out treatment from an experienced cosmetic dentist or a restorative specialist. I hope this helps, regards

Mark
