is there a difference between invisalign and clearstep

Q. Hi, I have a large gap between my two front teeth which I am looking to close. I have looked at the available options and would like to go for a clear brace. Is there any significant difference between clearstep and invisalign? Or would one treatment suit my requirements better? Could you give me a guideline for the price I should aim to pay? Can you recommend a dentist in the Plymouth area? Or can you offer any advice for choosing the best one. Many thanks

A.  Fixed braces are always better at closing gaps than the clear braces are.
Also after brace treatment you will need a permanent retainer placed on te back of the teeth to make sure that gap doesn’t open up again.
The clear braces require a lot of will power. They have to be worn for 22 hours a day and you are unable to eat or drink with them in. I am undergoing invisalign treatment at the moment but like my food and coffee too much and I find I am not weraing it for the appropriate amount of time, I am now considering having fixed braces to just get the treatment over and done with and it doesn’t rely as much on my compliance.
Have a consultation with an orthodontist to find out what your options are. I can’t reccomend anyone to you in plymouth but if you look on the BACD website ( british academy of cosmetic dentistry) you will find a list of cosmetic dentiats in your area that could refer you an orthodontist.
