Is post space strong enough to support fixed partial?
Q. I am getting my upper right fixed part.treatment . tht #2,3,4. tooth #2 also has a new crown .tooth#4 had an old large fillings,I was told I also need a post&core,or post space. When the crown on tht # 4 is cemented in place. Will post space be strong enough to support my fixed partials and how long do they last? Thanks.,
A. IT depends on the quality, volume & orientation of the tooth. The alignment and strength of the bite and the fit of thre denture. There are too many variables to quote “blind”. Rob
