Q. I’m 1 31 year old female and (due to dental negligence) am likely to need my lower left second molar extracting. I’m wondering if it’s always possible to place an implant here – I’m prepared to have bone grafts and so on but I’m really worried that even with this treatment an implant might not be possible in this region. I’ll obviously have a consultation with a specialist in implant dentistry but, for now, could you let me know if an implant can usually be placed here (followig grafting etc). Many thanks.
A. Hi
Unfortuantely it is impossible to say if an implant would be possible without looking at the xrays. In some cases it is and in some cases it isnt. You have to evaluate the whole mouth before deciding if this is possible. I hope this helps.
