Is it possible to fill a gold crown with a gold filing after it had undergone root canal treatment?
Q. I had my
root canal retreated. I have a gold crown and the retreatment was drilled thru the top of the gold crown, can the crown be filled with a gold filling?
A. Yes it can but the cost benefit is less than replacing the crown. A simple amalgam can be used as a short term repair as an alternative.
