Is It Possible For A Tooth To Grow Inside The Palate?

Q.
Is it possible for a tooth to grow inside the palate? When I was a kid a had a missing tooth (premolar) that caused a lot of disarrangement and spaces between my teeth. Now I’m 21 years old and the remaining premolar and one of my other molar are stuck together, and also there’s a hump in my palate, I think that’s the premolar that supposed to be growing through but I can’t be sure. I don’t know what to do as I don’t have enough money to go to the dentist, so please can you help me?

Hello and thank you for your question. It is difficult for me to comment on your case specifically without actually seeing you, however it is very common to have missing teeth or teeth that develop in the wrong position, like the palate. I would strongly recommend that you book a consultation appointment to see a local dentist to review all your teeth and discuss your options. There may be some very simple treatment available to resolve your issue. Many places offer free initial consultations. I hope this is helpful. Kind regards Marcus Gambroudes.
