Is it normal for my gums to bleed heavily after a normal dental cleaning?
Q. Is it normal for my gums to bleed heavily where my back molar is after a normal routine dental cleaning? It’s going on two days with the bleeding and blood clotting. Was there something the dental hygienist did wrong?
A. I am sure the hygienist did a great job for you. Prolonged bleeding should be checked out as soon as possible by your dentist as this is very unusual.
