Q. Is it necessary to remove a little tooth before getting braces, when it was told she needed braces to fill in the gaps in between teeth, also is it necessary to have braces on the lower jaw when the teeth are straight & has no gaps.
A. Sometimes the teeth are reduced slightly in width to help straighten them. I generally prefer to treat both jaws together so i get the teeth to meet together in the best way.
