Is it legal for the beauty therapists to whiten teeth?
Q. My girlfriend wants to have her teeth whitened and is look at a place in a shopping centre. They are not dentists and only offer a whitening service. I want her to use a dentist! Is it legal for them to do this, should they have a qualification/insurance she should ask to see?,
A. You can get tooth whitening done at beauty therapist but it is not the same gels as a dentist would use. We can use a stronger gel which gives more reliable results this is only allowed to be used by a dentist/ dental therapist.
