Is it better to whiten the teeth first and then have the crown done or it doesnt matter

Q. Hi, I am having a porcelain and gold post crown done but I also want the teeth laser whitening treatment (each done at a different clinic). Is it better to whiten the teeth first and then have the crown done, or it doesn’t matter in which order I proceed? Also, shall I see the hygienist before I have the laser whitening done? (I have some staining on the back of my teeth). Thanks.

A. I would carry the treatment out in the following order :

  1. Get the gums healthy
  2. Whiten the teeth
  3. have a new crown made
