Is Implants the way to go for me?
Q. My front teeth are both crowns on posts. The right snapped and was replaced with crown on a peg/pin. This came loose after 2 days and fell out. After a period of 2 months and 6 refits I was advised that the root had been damaged when drilled and the crown would not work. The root was removed and a denture fitted (also with upper left 4 – which was lost some 10 years ago) The denture is loose and does not stay in place – I am told this is partialy due to a ‘tauris’ pallett. I have had a consultation with an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon re implants. Price quoted between £4 and £4500. However no correspondence confirming procedure, treatment, costs or after-care is forthcoming. Is this normal procedure and should I proceed.
A.
