Is gingigel suitable with veneers to treat receding gums?
Q. Hi Dr Caplan, I have sensitive teeth so I would like to use a de-sensitizing mouthwash, but I have two veneers and have heard that alcohol weakens the bonding cement. I am unable to find a de-sensitizing mouthwash without alcohol. Is it true that mouthwashes containing alcohol are not suitable for venners? Also, I have heard of a product called Gengigel which helps receding gums. Is this suitable for veneered teeth? Thank you.,
A. Genigel would be fine. I would always advise non – alcohol mouth wash – Dentyl is one brand that is alcohol free.
