Is estimated cost of crowns reasonable?

Q. Ever since i was 13 years old an had caps i have hated them in 20 years i have never been happy with my teeth i cry i am trying to save to go private but being a single mum of 2 I am not working at the moment and it is hard i was told it would be £600 for 2 front caps would this be right? or would I be able to get them for a cheaper cost
A. Although this is a lot for you being a single Mum this is actually a very reasonable fee for private crowns

My mother, age 84, broke her front tooth at Christmas. She had broken it first 4 years ago; this time there is tiny bit left; her dentist says she must have a crown now ..porcelain I think .He says it will cost £850 total. 2 visits; I have no idea re prices but it seems a fortune for her to find. Is this a reasonable price or should she question it?

This is reasonable if the crown is being made on a private basis
