Q. Dr. Moore, I recently cracked a tooth a few months ago. I went to my dentist who did a crown and B/U. Before he started, he stated, “Gee, I hope we don’t have to do a root canal“. It seemed like he drilled very far down for the crown. Seveal wks went by and it still hurt. I went back and he said if it didn’t get better in a few months, I would have to get a root canal. My wife also went to get a new bridge put in. He also seemed to drill too deep to connect her bridge and told her the same thing. Is this coincidence or is he setting us up for more expensive procedures? thanks.,
A. I can’t really comment on individual cases as I haven’t seem the teeth so I wouldn’t know how deep he had to drill- sorry
