Is Bonding Useful For Closing A 4mm Gap Between My Two Front Teeth?

Q.
Hi,

I have a 4mm gap between my two front teeth and I am looking at getting it fixed. All of the rest of my teeth are fine and I have no other gaps at all. My teeth are also perfectly straight. Would bonding be possible here or is the gap too large? I don’t want veneers because I don’t want to lose any of my natural tooth structure. I really want the gap closing and bonding seems to be the best way from what I have read but as I said I’m unsure of the procedure and if it would be suitable for me. I would just love a general idea or if there’s anything else you can suggest? That would also be great. I would just like an idea so I can gather the funds to have this fixed once and for all. Many thanks.

Hi , thank you for taking the time to write in. Bonding should be possible as long as there isn’t excessive gum tissue between the teeth. However, you do need to be prepared to have 2 mm added to the width of both teeth and the appearance that it will result in. Regards.
