invisaline for my 11 year old daughter

Q. My daughter is 11 years old and we would like to know if they can use invisaline because she will not get metal braces her teeth are kinda crooked but have improoved from what they were like before she also has a gap in her front 2 teeth

A. It is possible for your daughter to have invisalign but I don’t think it the best thing for such a young person. The braces are removable and relies on constant wear. It also takes a lot of will power to keep them in all the time because they are not the most comfortable of things. I know this because I am currently undergoing invisalign treatment myself. If your daughter doesn’t want metal braces, white and clear fixed braces are available. This is a much better treatment option and the braces can’t be removed. If you go and see an orthodontist you will be able to find out all the treatment options for your daughter.
Kind Regards

Christina Says :

Hi, I am also a teenager who wanted invisaline. I saw the commercials on TV and saw how they were invisible and thought they would be a great alternative. Unfortunately, those commercials are FULL of false advertising. At 17, I did not desperately need them.I didn’t actually need them that badly at all. I actually went to the orthodontist myself and suggested them because I thought they were going to be completely invisible. However, I was wrong. Invisaline was the worst decision my parents and I ever made. The retainers are the farthest thing from invisible once they are on your teeth. It honestly looks like you have a film over your teeth, just like the commercials right? Wrong. Besides that, you have to take them out to eat, no matter if its a piece of toast or a full out meal, which is a pain. Also, if you want to take them off to rid yourself of the humiliation, don’t think you will get out of it. They put these little stub like things on your teeth to hold the retainers in place. So when you take the retainers of, you look and feel like a vampire (they also cut your gums like wire braces). $4,000 has gone down the drain due to invisaline and not being notified about what they actually look like. Invisaline braces are terrible, absolutely terrible. I hope people read this comment and opt for a way out before they ruin their life like mine was ruined.
