I’m Worried That My Teeth Will Be Different Lengths As I Have Fangs That Are Shorter, What Can Be Done?

Q.
Hi Mark,

I would like some advice regarding what would be the most effective and least harmful option for my teeth. I have done a lot of research, however it is very difficult to find the best option.

My top front teeth have two “fangs” either side which are slightly shorter than the four front teeth and stick out more than the others. What would you suggest is the best option to sort this? I am worried that my teeth will all be different lengths if I have these two “fangs” sorted out and do not do something with the others?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Thanks for your questions. One option that might work is aesthetic bonding – here is a link to a case I did recently which sounds somewhat similar to yours:

this was done by only adding material to the smaller teeth, no reduction was done

Porcelain veneers or composite veneers may also work but we’d need to see the situation in person.

Hope that helps for now. Best wishes, Mark.
