I’m Scared I’ll Lose Two Teeth As I Have An Overbite. Would I Be Suitable For Damon Braces?

Q.
Hi Mark. I would like some information from you. I’ve had fixed braces for about two years now but my orthodontist says I need two upper teeth taken out and I am incredibly scared of dentists. I heard about the Damon system but my parents are having none of it but I am NOT having those teeth out I was wondering what the price would be? I have an overbite according to one orthodontist but my jaw’s too far back according to another. I just want to know if I could be right for them. Thank you for taking the time to address my concerns.
A.
Thank you for your question. An approximate cost for Damon is between £4000 and £6000 depending on complexity, ceramic or metal brackets and the skill, quality and experience of the orthodontist. I would need to see you in person to see what treatment would be suitable for you depending on the orthodontic condition of your teeth. If you have worries you should discuss this with your dentist. Kind regards, Dr Mark Hughes.
