Hello Dr Mark Hughes. I need your help or advice. I’m in agony with my right wisdom tooth and the right bottom tooth. I have a hole in the tooth and it’s so painful I can’t sleep, I’ve tried everything to relieve the pain until my dental appointment. It’s five days away and I don’t think I can wait that long, I’ve been taking regular painkillers, salt water and even ice on the cheek but nothing is helping. Please help me in having many sleepless nights because of this. Thank you for your time, I hope you can help me.

Hello and thank you for getting in touch with me. The pain is unlikely to go away so I would suggest that you find a dentist who can see you today! It’s difficult to say what needs doing without seeing you but the wisdom tooth will possibly need to be extracted. Only a face to face consultation will tell you this.
