Im 50 and I have crooked teeth can u suggest what to do?

Q. My upper four front teeth are quite big and as a result one incisor has been squeezed backwards and the other one infront and it is protruding in a very embarrassing way. The two lower teeth have been squeezed to the front, the incisors pushed virtually to the back and barely visible and the canines almost taking the incisors positions. I am an adult over 50 years and as you can imagine, wire braces would not be on my shopping list. Please advise me the best way forward and how long it would be to get my teeth straightened and how much it would cost. And do you have a payment plan?

A.

I would suggest that you have a consultation with a specialist orthodontist for an opinion on what orthodontic treatment would be best for you.

There are many different types of braces, which are more aesthetic and practically invisible as opposed to conventional fixed orthodontic appliances.

There are lingual braces and clear almost invisible appliances invisalign.

The orthodontist would be able to advise you on treatment time as it varies for the individual patient.

Cost varies on practice to practice and on which appliance you and the orthodontist decide would be best to achieve your desired result.

Most practices have a payment plan or finance options to tailor your needs and this would usually be discussed at your appointment.
