I’m 19 – am I entitled to a free brace?

Q.
Hi Andrew, I would like to know if it’s possible to get braces for free at my age. I’m 19 and live in South Wales. My teeth are quite crooked and have gaps, it really knocks my confidence but I can’t afford the thousands of pounds it costs to have braces. Is there any other option?

Thanks,

A.
No braces on the nhs are only available to under 18’s

I have a wisdom tooth coming through at the back, im almost 20. it has caused one of my front teeth to move so it is facing the wrong way, is there anything that can be done on the NHS or would they consider it cosmetic?

At your age NHS orthodontic treatment is usually not available. Best to go for a cosultation about invisible braces…they are uaually complimentary examinations
