If xiline causes me faint what else can be used as anestestic

Q. If xiline (lidocaine) causes me earblock, tachycardia, fainting, what else can be used as anestesic for molar extraxction(58 yrs old, no heart problem, only tyroid hypo). Thanks

A. Speak to your dentiat and let him know these problems prior to your appointment. The ingredient in the lidocaine or lignocaine is adrenaline which makes you faint or your heart beat fast. There are adrenaline free anesthetics such as citanest or septonest.

Within three minutes of being injected with Lignocaine with Adrenaline to have a tooth removed, I past out onto a concrete floor whilst waiting in a corridor for the anaesthetic to take effect. The result was whiplash injury giving me continuous headaches, dissiness and neckpain. After 3 years and many visits to Neuroogists, ENT consultants, MRI scans and Physiotherapists I am still not fully cured.
Six month after the Lignocaine incident, I visited a Polish dentist who did not recommend Lignocaine with Adrenalin for over 60′s and used one cartridge of Scadonast to remove the original tooth which had initiated my very painful experience. Scanonast gave me no pain at all during the extraction of the tooth or unpleasant side effects. Why do dentists not used Scanonast every time instead of Lignocaine?

what are the side effects to using anaesthetic at the dentist. i am hoping to get some dental treatment, but it will require the use of this method. i would like to know more bout this service if you could offer me some. regards,

No side effects…..other than being numb afterward for a while. Most involved procedures will require it.
