If I got a denture to replace a broken crown, would I be able to have an implant later on if I didn’t like it?
Q. I had a seven crowns fitted in 1978 to replace my front teeth. On monday one of these crowns snapped off leaving the remainder of the tooth insitu. My dentist told me that an implant would be quite expensive and suggested a denture on a plate which is currently being made on the NHS. He told me that in a week or so time he would need to remove the remainder of the tooth and fixtures from that area. What I would like to know is if this is done and I cannot get on with the denture could I then have an implant done, should I find somewhere reasonably priced. Many thanks,
A. Yes you can have an implant later, expect to pay around £2000 per tooth
