I Would Like to Know If I Can Still Get Braces Even Though I Have Missing Teeth?

Q.
Hi Mark. I hope you can help me with a problem I have. I’m curious to know if I can wear braces even if I have an incomplete set of teeth. In my upper part I don’t have a second molar and a first premolar and in lower part I don’t have my second molar? My teeth seem to be separating from each other. I want to know because I’m set to visit my dentist and I want to know if it’s worth asking for braces. I just need to know first so that if it’s impossible I will not go to my dentist. Thank you for your time and I look forward to your reply.

Hello, thank you for your enquiry. Yes it is possible to have braces even though a few teeth happen to be missing. Try to find an experienced cosmetic dentist and/or orthodontist that you feel comfortable with. Your dentist may even suggest another type of treatment that may work. Have a look around this website and see which type of brace system appeals to you most. I hope this helps. Best wishes, Mark.
