I Would Like To Know If A Maryland Bridge Is At All Suitable For Double Teeth?

Q.
Hello Dr Moore, I have a question I’ve been wondering about. Can a Maryland bridge be used for double teeth or are they only for the front single teeth?
I have a double tooth snapped off and I wonder if once extracted it could be replaced with a Maryland bridge.
I also have a single tooth snapped off that I think needs to be extracted. The single tooth is next to a tooth that has one side of the metal wing of the Maryland bridge attached to it. Is it possible to attach another wing to the same tooth? Thanks for answering my question, it’s much appreciated.

Hello, It’s always a pleasure to answer your questions, It doesn’t sound ideal for a Maryland bridge as they tend to be weaker with multiple teeth, I think you may possibly want to consider an implant instead, as always however, I would need to see you in order to assess you properly. Thank you, I hope this answers your question. Best wishes, Dr Andrew Moore.
