I Would Like Some Advice, I’m Worried Veneers Would Highlight The Discolouration Of My Bottom Teeth. What Would You Suggest?

Q.
Hi Dr. Hughes,
I am just contacting you to ask for some advice on possible options for the treatment of fluorosis. I am 19 years old and I have had braces in the past couple of years in order to align my teeth, but now they are off I am more self-conscious about the brown marks/flecks; especially on the upper incisors. I am worried that if I get Lumineers or veneers that they will look fake and make the discolouration of my bottom teeth more noticeable.
I would be grateful if you could give me some advice on what you think would be the best route of treatment, and a rough price-range that I could expect if I decided to get Lumineers or Veneers. Many thanks.

A rough price range for very high quality porcelain veneers is from £500- £1200 per tooth. You may be able to have composite bonding as an alternative which is usually much cheaper at £300-£500 per tooth. The other thing that might work is some intensive tooth whitening combined with a micro-abrasion and calcium ion ‘soaking’ of the areas. This could work out as little as £400-£750 in total depending on how much time and how many teeth are involved.  Come for a consultation to investigate your suitability for all options

Kind regards, Dr Mark Hughes.
