I was treating a molar and the mesial canals where curved
Q. I am a student in dental school i was treating a lower molar and i had aprob that is the 2 mesial canals were so curved and i was afraid of breaking my files i prepared the canals in a crown down technique but the curvature prevnted me from reaching tp the apical third please i need ur help
A.
As a student and as a dentist, you need to remember that you cannot achieve perfection in all your treatments. Especially with endodontics, There are cases even that i treat, i refer to endodontic specialists.
You can attempt to access the apical third by using files such as size 6’s called pathfinder, or your size 10s. Precurving the files prior to insertion can help you gain access, but taking your time and slowly advancing your files with plenty of irrigation can help you get to the apex. I am sure you have tutors on clinic to help you, but remember even speciaists do not give a 100% guarantee on their root canal treatments.
