I was getting pain on the left side of my mouth but there is nothing on the x-ray can u advice?

Q. I visited a dentist recently and explained to him that i was getting pain on the left side of my mouth which would start at the bottom and radiate upwards towards my temple area. I had been chewing on the left side of my mouth up until the pain started a week ago because i had crakced a tooth on the right hand side of my mouth. He told me that nothing was showing on the x-rays on the left hand side of my mouth but the tooth on the right hand side was cracked down the middle and needed removing which i have booked for next week. I asked him why i was getting pain on the left hand side of my mouth if nothing was showing on the x-rays. He told me that one of the reasons could be that i had been putting too much pressure on the teeth by constantly chewing on the left hand side and now they were causing pain, could this be a possibility?

A. It is difficult to assess you without seeing if the tooth on the right has to be removed have that done first and then have the left side re-assessed.
