i wanted 5 crowns and got a 5 unit bridge

Q. I was recently quoted for 5 dental crowns on my upper front teeth and a bridge between two of the teeth. When they went to install the crowns it turned out they made one big bridge. Is this something that is normally done? I am concerned Im not getting what I paid for because I paid for 5 individual crowns?

A. A 5 unit bridge would cost the smae as 5 crowns. Sometimes it can cost more. Each unit of the bridge can be the same as the crown fee so don’t worry that you have been overharged. It would be a good idea to ask your dentist why all of them were stuck together though. It may have been for strength or to spint your teeth together if they were loose.
