I want to whiten my tooth from the outside

Q. Hello, I have a question about teeth whitening. When I was younger I fell of a balcony after having a brace, my front tooth came out and was glued back in, I had the roots taken out and bleach put inside 3 times and filled, however the tooth is still discoloured at the top because the hole wasn’t drilled in far enough. If I would get my teeth whitened from the outside, would that tooth still be darker than the rest? Also my other front tooth was damaged it has a crack, which is very noticable to me how can that be resolved?

A. Essentially it seems you have attempted to do all the things you can do with whitening the tooth to get it to the shade you wish, however given all of the that and any further whitening treatments, it will not improve the noticible crack on the tooth.

It may be worth considering a veneer which is expertly made to match the other teeth, this way, the colour will be what you want and the look will also match your natural teeth.
