I want surgery to fix my bite, how do I go about looking into things?

Q. I have mandibular prognathism, which has given be an open bite. I was seen by max-fax about 10 yrs ago and they did not think it warranted surgery. I really do not like it and I feel that aesthetically my appearance would be improved if I had it done. I havent seen anyone else about this since and was wondering how I can go about looking into things again? Thanks,
A. You can get your dentist to refer you to your local orthodontist or dental hospital so you can be assessed and hopefully treated.

I had a partial correction to a prgnathism to my lower jaw. My max fax surgeon wanted to move the upper jaw as well as my top teeth dont show when I smile. Is it possible to have my top teeth removed and a bridge fitted that would correct the prognathism avoiding the need for a GA and more surgery?
