I Used To Be A Smoker And Need My Teeth Straightened, But I’d Struggle To Pay For Veneers. What Are My Options?

Q.
Hi, I am only 22 years old and getting very depressed because of the look of my teeth. I am ashamed to say I was a smoker and didn’t eat very healthy in the past. I have now stopped smoking and eating better but my teeth are still terrible because of my bad habits in the past. They’re not as white as they were and my bottom teeth are not straight and all different shapes. I hate too look at them and I hate to smile at anyone. It’s making my life hell and has taken all of my confidence away because of my wrong choices in the past. It’s even affected my personal life because myself esteem was so low I could never smile near my ex-boyfriend. I can never afford that type of money for veneers, can you please advise me on what I can do, Thank you for reading, do please get back to me.
A.
Hello, I’m sorry to hear this has affected your social life. If finances for treatment are an issue, the best option I can suggest is to try to contact and visit your local teaching dental hospital, as dental students require patients, it may be possible for you to have the treatment you require for free.
