I Think I May Need Composite Bonding As I Grind My Teeth At Night. Is It The Right Option?

Q.
Hello Dr Shaffie, I am 17 years of age. I am interested in White fillings with composite bonding. If I decide on having this done to my teeth how long does it last, does it wear off in time? Also does it blend in with the colour of your teeth? A few of my teeth have worn down due to grinding my teeth at night and want to know if this method is suitable for my teeth. Also, I want to know how much will it cost because I am hoping to do it to all of my teeth as I am very insure about them whenever I smile. Does this method still work if you have gaps in your teeth and does it cover these gaps? Thank you.

Hello, I would say that it is healthier than Amalgam fillings. You can also close the gaps with them and they can last as long as 20 years. Of course there may be other options available to you after a consultation, as you may need to consider treatment or advice relating to your grinding. Thanks, I hope this helps. Dr Hussein Shaffie.
