I require a good quality inlay, any advice on the costs?

Q. Hello, My horrible amalgamate huge filling is breaking and I need to replace it with an inlay. Although I am an NHS patient I would like to get good quality inlay – regardless of the price – strong and beautiful filling. What would be recommended? I read that gold is the best but it looks terrible… Could you advice on approx cost? Many thanks,
A. I agree if you wantthe best type of restoration gold is definately the best but I have a hard time trying to convince patients to have them ! next best is a bonded porcelain onlay / inlay and then indirect cmposite. Find a good dentist and get a quote as prices vary.
