I Plan To Have Crowns To Replace My Veneers. Could You Recommend A Decent Dental Practice For This?

Q.
Dear Dr Gambroudes,

I have had veneer treatments several times in my two front teeth.

Before I was six, I was brought up in a place with very high level of fluoride in the drinking water and I developed fluoriosis, especially on the front teeth. When I was around 17, cavities were found in the two front teeth and as they were so bad, I had to have the roots removed.

The veneer treatments were on top of all the above conditions. I plan to have crowns to replace the veneers as the colour never lasts long and there are cracks on the surface as well. I wonder if you could recommend me some good dental practice clinics as well as suggest what materials I should use for crowns.

Thank you very much.

Best wishes.

A.
Hello and thank you for getting in touch. I would advise you to search the internet for a practice in your area. You may need to visit a couple of place before you decide which feels most comfortable. Ask each dentist to present photo’s of similar successful cases they have conducted. It also helps to find out as much as possible about each treatment and you can do this through this website. Regards, Marcus.
