I Need My Veneers Replacing And Have No Choice. Would This Still Be A Considered Cosmetic By The NHS?

Q.
Hi there. I wondered if you could help me?
I had an accident approximately 10 years ago and knocked my 2 front teeth out. I had veneers fitted and unfortunately I have fractured one and both have dropped considerably. I need to go to my dentist but wondered if you could give me some advice as I’m told you can not get veneers on the NHS as they are for cosmetic reasons, however I originally had them on the NHS and as they need replacing due to them coming to the end if the life it’s not for cosmetic reasons but more through medical or through no choice. Can you confirm if this is true and approximately how much would it cost? Thanks.

Hello and thank you for getting in touch. As a private dentist I am currently unaware of the full regulations of the NHS, but I believe having your veneers replaced would still count as a cosmetic reason. The best thing to do is find an experienced dentist locally and go for a consultation. Each practices costs vary depending on the quality of materials and workmanship involved. If you would like further information on veneers you can search this website for help. I hope this helps. Regards, Marcus.
