I Need My Front Teeth To Look Identical When I Receive Dental Veneers, How Can I Ensure That This Happens?

Q.
Hi, I knocked my front tooth last year causing gradual discolouration. My dentist in the US has suggested bleaching from inside the tooth as well as outside as a first course of action. If this fails, then a veneer will be necessary, however it has been suggested that I have the tooth next to it done as well as they are difficult to match up. I need an expert dentist to be able to match up a front tooth. I do not want a thick, chicklet type veneer, rather something more natural. I’ve seen a lot of bad veneer jobs in my time with many of them looking extremely fake! What would you recommend?

Regards.

Hello, thank you for your question. You can have a single veneer if you are happy with the appearance of the other one, ask your dentist if the laboratory technician who will make your veneer can meet you so they can take an exact shade match and characterise the veneer for your tooth. Make sure you are happy with the final restoration before you have it fitted. I hope this helps you. Kind regards.
