I need dentures, do I have to have broken roots removed first?

I would not recommend dentures to be fitted over broken roots for 2 reasons.
1. As the denture moves over the broken roots and touches the gums surrounding the roots, your gums can become inflamed and painful, causing discomfort in wearing the dentures.
2. The roots can become infected and cause infection in the underlying bone which is again painful.
