A.
It’s highly unlikely that you’ll get any orthodontic treatment on the NHS but i am no expert as I don not carry out any NHS treatment and know little about what’s available. You should contact your local NHS dentist or health authority and ask them

Hello Some of (2-4) my teeth are crooked. In addition, when I bite together, there is a hole in the right side between the two rows of teeth. I wouldlike you two have teeth Which are error free. Is it something you can treat/ repair? In addition, I also want tooth whitening. Do you treat crooked teeth with brackets or surgery? Approximately how much the price will be?

I wore fixed braces from 14 to 16 after that I wore a retainer to bed for about a year which my dentist told me to do. He said after 6 months to a year I didnt need to bother any longer. All was fine until my wisdom teeth started to come through. Ive had two of them removed and now have left one through fully and one on the way. The problem is these seem to have pushed my other teeth and now there are at least two out of line, one on the top and one on the bottom. This is really bothering me but I can’t afford to pay and have fixed braces again. Is there anything that I can do?

Dear Enquirer, It is very important to monitor teeth positioning when wisdom teeth are coming through and to wear your retainers. If the teeth have moved, you will need another course of braces treatment. Regards,

My brother and I were fitted with dental braces on the NHS, as children, to correct a supposed gap in our front teeth. My brother never wore his brace and his teeth are fine. I wore mine and my teeth were pushed too far together, creating an overlap. A few years ago, I was told by a dentist that the wrong teeth were taken out as a child, which created this problem. I am now 39 years of age and nobody seems interested in providing NHS treatment for the problem. My one front tooth has now withdrawn behind the other, creating no room and pushing the other front tooth straight out. I now have pus seeping from the gum above the rear tooth and my mouth is sore from the protruding front tooth rubbing my gum. I cant afford private treatment. A dentist would once offer part NHS and part private treatment. Why does no-one offer this anymore?

I would suggest you call the NHS directly.

Hi,my daughter has a big gap between her front teeth on top and she is so anxious and desperate about that also her left front tooth is turning into back and she surely need to have braces to fix the gap she’s been refused the treatment on Nhs but if she does the treatmen on private cost so that would be OK! she’s only thirteen and this has caused her emotional problem and lack of confidence what should I do now? Many Thanks

A quick question , I recently turned 18 , I have a local NHS dental practice I attend before my birthday , He said i had bad problems with one of my upper tooths and either it had to be removed or i was to have root canal surgery , I have a serious phobia of needles and have been sedated during any procdures as well as fillings as i have emtophobia which is a fear of choking while in the dentist chair , My dentist referered me to be sedated nearly 8 months on and ive heard nothing and im in constant pain , I have rang my local NHS dental surgeries and all provide me with no information ! also would i have to pay for my sedation , as i was refered before my birthday

I’m afraid cosmetic treatment isn’t available on the NHS, only more basic treatment to improve your dental health.
