I Like The Sound Of Invisible Braces As I Would Be Self-Conscious About How I Looked With Normal Ones. How Much Do They Cost?
Q.
Hi, I’ve just been looking up about the ‘6 month smile’ treatment and wanted to know a little more information, such as how they look, can you see much? Also cost, as I don’t have a lot of money? I’m 21 years old and I’m unhappy about how my teeth look. They’re really overcrowded. I wouldn’t consider a brace any more, as I would be self-conscious about how it looked to others, seeing as I’m older now. I liked the sound of not being able to see anything in my mouth with the 6 month smile. If you could get back that would be great with any information that would be great, thanks.

Hi. The 6 month smile braces are fixed white brackets with a metal wire so they are not invisible. As a guide they cost around £1900 per jaw. Completely invisible braces such as Invisalign tend to be more expensive. You could find a local clinic experienced in this type of treatment, who offer a payment plan to spread the costs. They usually have pictures on most dental websites of before and afters. I hope this helps. Dr Andrew Moore.
