Q. Hi Dr Solanki, I have just had root canal done(yesterday) How long should I wait to have my crown put on which is already made for me? Thanks
A. Hi there. It is always good practice to leave the tooth to settle for a 2 weeks+ afterwards. You don’t want to have a permanent restoration cemented on if the tooth needs to be opened up again. This will compromise your new crown. I’m sure this all makes sense, but ask your dentist and stress your concerns.
