I have temporary dressings in place still i have pain in my front teeth is it normal?
Q. I am in the process of recieving 2 new back crowns. I Have temporary dressings in place. Treatment carried out 24 hours ago. No pain prior to proceedure. Xrays were normal. I have not had root canal treatment. The area around the teeth is tender, I have pain in my front teeth. Not localised to any specific tooth. Is this normal?
A. In cases of mild discomfort it is worth taking a headache type tablet and waiting a few days. Most issues will resolve. If you have more severe pain or increasing problems I would seek the advice of a local dentist ( preferably the dentist who is doing your crowns)
