i have really bad teeth on the one side of my mouth

Q. i have really bad teeth on the one side of my mouth, upper and lower. i think i may also have gum disease as my gums on this side are inflamed, they are not sore but do bleed. due to this i have really bad breath, but im so nervouse to see a dentist. i do need it sorted as soon as i can as its making me miserable. i was wondering if i could be put to sleep the first time just for the consultation as i panic as soon as i get there. thank you

A. hi many thanks for your enquiry, unfortunately the consultation is the most important part of the whole treatment plan and you will be happy to know that during this appointment no treatment is done it mainly having a look and discussing with yourself what treatment is needed. you do need to be conscious for this part. after this you can then be sedated for the rest of the treatment. hope this is helpful.
