Q. i am undergoing treatment with my dentist as i have a rare case of gum disease which is a big concern. The extent of it i was told would be what you would expect to see in someone 25 yrs or more older than myself. i also have a problem with the appearance of my teeth as the bite don’t come together. I am very self conscious about the appearance of my teeth and am desperate for a solution. my dentist has reccomended veneers but am weary of having that done because of the cost of the procedure and due to the severity of the gum disorder, ie would they last as long as expected given circumstances. I was wondering if an option would be to have problem teeth removed and bridged across?? Please help!!!!!
A. If the teeth are very bad then removal is an option, however it sounds like your gums should be treated first before considering any treatment to improve the appearance of the teeth.
